The requirement was to develop a custom administrator option in SquirrelCart (shopping cart) allowing bulk import of data from an external CSV file having a list of all current products with required product details. The products had to be automatically categorized and appropriate images had to be associated with the products imported.
Strategy and Execution
The Neova team investigated customization options with SquirrelCart. New tables were created to manage and maintain the imported data and custom code was written in PHP to parse, analyze, validate and upload the data in the appropriate tables.
